2019 Sauvignon Blanc workshop

Sauvignon Blanc workshop artwork.jpg

The Sauvignon Blanc workshop recognised the importance and growth of the Sauvignon Blanc market in New Zealand and overseas.

Four sessions covered the challenges involved with all areas of change, including climate, vine age and vulnerability to pests and diseases. Delegates heard from world class speakers including Roger Boulton from UC Davis, Chris Brandolino from NIWA, Mike Trought from Plant and Food Research, and Patrick Materman from Pernod Ricard.

Each session was enhanced by Sauvignon Blanc tastings, with both trial samples and finished wines, with robust discussion from the floor.
