"Winegrowing for the Future"
Topics included:
- identifying what cool climate means to the consumer (and winegrower),
- vine health,
- sustainable practices,
- production of specialist wines (such as sparkling wines and Icewine),
- incorporation of sensory analysis into business plans
- growing cool climate businesses.
The format for the Symposium included four Keynote speakers speaking on various topics in the mornings, followed by four or five concurrent Focus Sessions in the afternoons. ln most cases, the Focus Sessions were run by the Keynote speakers and a panel of three or more people that discussed in detail topics introduced in the morning. The 20 Keynote speakers and 90 Focus Session leaders and panelists were comprised of a diverse and international group of people recognized for their expertise.
In addition over 80 posters provided the latest research information on many cool climate grape and wine related topics.

- text versions and powerpoint presentations of the Keynote addresses
- audio files of the Focus Sessions
- copies of the posters.
